Overview

The Kenya Tourism Board is responsible for maintaining information pertaining to tourism in Kenya.Tourism is the 2nd largest source of foreign exchange revenue following agriculture. The main tourist attractions are photo safaris through the 19 national parks and game reserves. Other attractions include the mosques at Mombasa; the renowned scenery of the Great Rift Valley; the coffee plantations at Thika; a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, across the border into Tanzania; and its beaches along the Indian Ocean.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive into the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Meet by our representative, who will give you safari briefing and drive you to Aberdares National Park. You will arrive at the base hotel which serves as a reception for clients overnighting at the tree lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred by the lodge vehicle to tree lodge for dinner and overnight. (The treetop Hotel is where the now Queen Elizabeth was staying when her father passed on and she learnt of her accession to Queen) NB: Warm clothing is advisable as nights tend to be chilly, but only an overnight bag is required. Day 2
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru making a photo-stop at Nyahururu falls also called Thompson Falls. Thereafter continue with your safari arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon game drive. Here you will get to see the beautiful freshwater Lake Nakuru with its magnificent millions of pink flamingoes and other bird life. Flamingo Tented Camp – Full Board
Day 3
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Masai Mara Game Reserve is regarded as one of the most magnificent natural theatre in the world. Set in the heart of Africa’s Great Plains, the Masai Mara boasts 1,672 square kilometers of unspoilt wilderness. It is home to the highest concentration of animals and birds anywhere on the continent. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge – Full Board
Day 4
0600 hrs – Wake up to freshen up 0630 hrs – Depart for an early morning game drive. Early morning are lovely moments to see the nocturnal animals trying to get the last catches before they go to sleep. These also best moments to see the glorious sun as it rises 0830 hrs – Return to the lodge for buffet breakfast Rests of the morning spend at leisure 1230 hrs – Have lunch at the camp’s dining room. After lunch have an hour to relax 1600 hrs – Depart for an afternoon game drive 1830 hrs – Return to the tented lodge for dinner an over night Masai Mara Sopa Lodge – Full Board
Day 5
0600 hrs – Wake up to freshen up and early morning breakfast. 0700hrs – Depart with packed lunch for full day game drive in the game reserve. 1800hrs – Return to Lodge for resting and Dinner Masai Mara Sopa Lodge – Full Board
Day 6
0630 hrs – Breakfast 0730 hrs – Depart and head back towards Nairobi 1300 hrs – Arrive into Nairobi after mid day, lunch on own account. After your lunch, enjoy a brief tour complimentary from Honeymoon Tours and Travel covering main highlights; Museum, Jomo Kenyatta International Conference Center and theme park. Entry fees not included and to be paid directly by guests. Later, you will be dropped at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to South Africa having enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Kenya.
